Emergency fund for Lebanon

The tragic explosion in Beirut on 4 August caused considerable damage to many companies in the Lebanese film and audiovisual sector and halted many productions, also impacting filming and post-production services.

On 14 October 2020 in Beirut, Dominique Boutonnat, President of the CNC, announced the launch of an emergency fund for Lebanese professionals. The aim of this scheme is to allocate exceptional support to films or projects for feature films, the development, filming or post-production of which have been impacted, delayed or interrupted since the beginning of August. The aim of this exceptional support is to support the resumption, as quickly as possible, of the production of works under better conditions.
