Visions Nordiques - French Nordic Film Days was initiated by The Five Nordics, the CNC, the Swedish Institute, in collaboration with the French Institute of Sweden, and with the support of the Nordic Council of Ministers and the embassies of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden in France.

The aim of Visions Nordiques - French Nordic Film Days is to develop and strengthen the historic links between the Nordic and French film industries, by encouraging cooperation between professionals and promoting Nordic films to French audiences.
For the first time ever, a series of professional meetings will be held in Paris, covering all aspects of the industry, as well as a series of film screenings. A delegation of professionals from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Iceland is expected in Paris for the occasion.

From 5 to 7 March, the programme will take place at the Swedish Institute and the CNC. The aim is to enable film institutes and professionals from the Nordic countries and France to discuss their respective production and distribution systems, and to encourage Franco-Nordic co-productions. The programme will include panels and case studies on sales and distribution, support for filmmakers and environmental issues, as well as a co-production workshop, enabling Nordic and French producers, sales agents and distributors to meet.

Film festival

At the same time, a series of screenings of a dozen arthouse films from Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland will be taking place at Le Grand Action cinema. French-Nordic coproduction workshop
The CNC invites you to come and meet production companies from the five partner countries of the event: Denmark; Finland; Iceland; Norway; and Sweden. In all, eleven companies will represent the ‘Nordic Five’ for a day of one-to-one meetings.

The brochure presenting the companies is available to download from this page. For this event, the CNC invites you to find out about projects developed by these companies that might be of interest to you. It is based on this selection of projects that you are invited to request individual meetings, bearing in mind that you will of course also be able to present projects that you are developing and that could be of interest to these producers for a possible partnership.
To request a meeting (25 minutes) with one (or more) of the companies featured in the brochure, please send an e-mail to frenchnordics-coproduction@cnc.frwith the subject line ‘Meeting request’, specifying the names of the companies you are interested in and attaching a PDF presentation of your company in English. Appointments will be confirmed at a later date. The day will begin at 09:30 with testimonials from producers who have worked with Nordic countries.
