According to the last estimates by the CNC, admissions in film theatres reached 11,91 million in June 2017, and thus was stable compared to June 2016 (-0,1 %).
Over the six first months of 2017, cinema admissions totaled 104,94 million (1,8 % more than over the first semester of 2016).
Over the last 12 months, theater attendance reached 211,12 million (+0.1 compared to the 12 months preceding June 2016).
The market share of French Films was 36.3% over the six first months of 2017 (38.5% over January-June 2016) and the market share of American Films amounted to 50.6 % (52.6 % over January-June 2016). Over the last 12 months, the market share of French film was 34.6%, while American films captured 51.4% and others films represented 14.0% of the market.
