According to the last estimates made by the CNC, admissions in theaters reached 14.05 million in May 2016, down from 14.29 million in May 2015 (-1.7%).
For the first five months of 2016, admissions totalled 94.69 million, a rise of 6.2% compared with the same period in 2015.
Over the past twelve months, estimated admissions totalled 210.9 million, a rise of 4.0% compared with the same period in 2015.
French Films market share in the first five months of 2016 was 38.3% of total admissions. US features shared 53.3% of total admissions. Over the past twelve months, French films market share was 35.6%, 54.8% for American films and 9.7% for other films.
